ASC 2007 Conference to focus on "The Challenges of Change"

The Association for Survey Computing has announced its fifth international conference will be held at The University of Southampton on 12-14 September 2007.
The conference aims to examine how "survey and statistical software is not only evolving in response to the challenges of a more complex world, but is increasingly an agent of change, providing new opportunities for research and driving innovation in survey-based practices. "
Four keynote speakers have been annouced:
Karen Dunnell, UK National Statistician; Professor Denise Lievesley, CEO of the UK’s Information Centre for Health and Social Care and previously head of UNESCO Institute for Statistics; Mick Couper, Senior Associate Research Scientist at the Institute for Social Research, University of Michigan and Malcolm Rigg, Director of the UK Policy Studies Institute. and previously Managing Director of BMRB International.
Tim Macer, of meaning ltd, who is chairing the event organising committee for ASC 2007 said: "This is probably the only international conference which focuses on technology and its relationship to methdology in research. If you are interesed in research technology, this is definitely one not to miss."
Call for papers
ASC is seeking papers and contributors for the event. Papers are subject to peer review and will be published in the conference proceedings, which is a recognised publication. Synopses for papers should be with ASC by 12 January 2007.
