At the SPSS Directions Conference in Las Vegas in November 2005, Tim Macer reported on findings to some recent research he and others have carried out into controversial mixed mode research.

Early adopters have been pleasantly surprised by the extent to which response rates can be lifted but some have found the technical challenges are considerable with existing technology.
